Community Safety &
Awareness

Clients will learn to recognize various signs in the community, look both ways for cars and know when it is safe to cross, recognize between a friend and a stranger in all community settings and how to get help if they feel uncomfortable, stay in a group while in the community and how to utilize a cell phone, locate the numbers, learn to call home and 9-1-1.

Problem Solving

Learning how to problem solve is a key factor in independence. Clients will be encouraged to try things on their own and problem solve to the best of their ability and will be praised and encouraged after each and every attempt.

Personal Independence

Clients are encouraged to try things on their own to the best of their ability and to achieve personal independence by using positive reinforcement.

Social Skills

Clients will discuss activities that are available and discuss their interests, while learning the appropriate way to act and have fun while in the community. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to socialize with friends and peers in a positive manner.

Community Service

Clients will learn to give back to the communities they live in and provide us with so much love and care.
